Hi Dave,

Sure, I'm still around.
But it's awfully quiet here.

My latest project: a 40 size Kyosho Calmato trainer with a YS FZ 80S engine...goes pretty good on 30% nitro and an 11x12W APC prop.
For a "trainer" that is 😋

Hello Dave, how have you been?

That's a long time since I have talked to you man, I hope you're doing well.

Still in the speed side of the hobby?
I am...but my eyes are starting to let go, I'm 50 now. I guess I'm one of the "old guys" now 🤪

Not really in the speed thing... I'm looking to join a new club with a paved runway. My old field El Mirage Dry Lake is a mess. I'll be 80 this year, but I had cataract surgery on both eyes, so good sight now. I still have all my old stuff... and two new electrics that I haven't flown yet.

Default Speed

I evolved into the turbine stuff over the last decade or so.

But I still enjoy a good rip with a nitro plane, or car for that matter.

Back in the day I even built a 1/2A Shrike with a tuned MVVS 2.5 to come to the meet on El Mirage dry lake.
I planned to make it a weekend on the lake, and to take the plane and tx as cabin luggage on the flight over there 🤣
