Best tach for speed engines-
I have the H9 tach./ voltmeter combo whatchamahoozit... and the tach. portion does not work- (Please don't tell me how to use a tach. ) I have used striped blades, diff. props. more sunlight, less, front back side etc.
What is the best tach. for the $$ that y'all recommend? I don't run Nelsons or FAI stuff but I would like to get accurate figures on my Jett-50, YS-45, Rossi's and my K&B 7.5 (finally found one- thanks EW!)
Flyboy Dave?
Rudeboy?
MR Auger?
Phillybaby?
MR Spears?
9 out of 10 speed freaks use what tach.?

RE: Best tach for speed engines-
Well, Mr Auger uses a TNC Tach. But that's just the way Mr Auger is. It is very sensitive..no more pointing the tach right at the prop from 1/4" away..just lay it on the ground kinda pointed at the prop and it'll get the reading. I also have a Futaba TachOTimer, it is a nice tach,, but it's not in the same league as the TNC.

Tell us more about this TNC Tach, a website, phone #, where to get one. If you can just "lay it on the ground, kinda pointed at the prop and get a correct reading" then, I got to have one these.
