laser arrow ??????'s
I read in a earlier thread that someone suggested not using elevons but using the ailerons mixed with the elevator. Will that make a big difference? Is it tougher to fly with elevons? I was wondering why it was suggested? This is my first delta wing. Lets say i made it with the ailerons and elavator, i have a futaba exa 6 channel. Would i setup the ailerons as elevons and mix in the elevator using say the channel for the rudder, to make it all work as and elevator, but still have the ailerons? I'm just trying to find out what others think i should do. Also what engine should i use to make it go pretty quick? I know it has a thick airfoil so it will be draggy.

to keep it simple and fly without computer radio build it ailerons and an elevator.
the complex methode would be build it ailerons and an elevator
fly it with a computer radio like the JR8103 where you can mix elevator to the ailerons giving you elevons and a elevator. Joeflyer did this to his D/F powered Enfocer

I dunno the potential of your radio to make elevon mixing. But if you can without buying a mixer I am tempted to suggest you to build it elevon only in order to keep it simple .
If it's your first delta, I suggest you to install a .45 size engine for first flights in order to familiarise yourself with the particular style of flight of deltas at reasonable speed and weight.
Arrow is a good first delta
I suggest you a easy to do mod, install a antena tube . on the pic you can see my antena tube exiting the back of the radio compartement and run along the trailing edge(inside the plane).
