Have you tried this?
Can you convert a os max .32f heli engine to swing a prop. I can use a thrust washer from a .46 la. And what kind of rpms can you get with a 8x6 prop. I want to put this on a shrike 10.
Thanks Rob

If the prop driver fits, then there's no problem...
We used to use "heli" engines on our fun fly planes all the time... you know, for better cooling... Until it dawned on me that you don't really need this extra cooling... For a speed plane cooling may even be too much with that big head...
It should really scream with an 8x6... what's more, I think this prop is on the smallish side... Maybe an 8x8 is better..? Most good .32 engines turn a 10x4 at 16000-17000, that's a big prop compared to an 8x6...

RE: Have you tried this?
I have an old OS-50 FSR Heli engine that I had on a Magic... Made similar power to an Irvine-53 (and that says alot-) I was using a 12.25x3.75 like Rudeboy mentioned for fun-flying....
Cheers!
