Whiplash #2 Ready to R&R!
I just finished Whip #2 (Whip #1 R.I.P...) with Jett 50 FIRE AND Jett 6 oz. Bubbleless tank. That should put an end to my lean runs caused by vibration. Now I'm worried about that poor 'lil HS-81MG servo up front taking the vibration. I'll find out soon enough! If it fails I will move the replacement back in the RX/battery compartment.

I used HS-81's on mine for throttle and mixture, no problems that weren't caused be hitting the ground. I did change the metal gears on the 8411's to the SA set, still uses the metal output gear, but a couple of the others are now plastic. I was getting almost immediate gear slop from the vibration.
Nice looking plane!

Chuck,
I recall that you added a small aux tank in one of yours to extend the flight time. In the end I decided that a bubbleless fuel supply was my highest priority. Three minutes at a time with this bear will keep the smile on my face.

Yeah, I had a Tettra bubbless 6oz tank setting there, but in the end went with 2 tanks. I cut a lot of the tank bay out to allow for some padding and have the (main) tank loosely contained. The bigger tank is actually the "hopper" the way I have it rigged, so far fuel foaming has been the least of my troubles The 8oz is only good for 2~2 1/2 minutes, then I need to set up to land, but like you say, it's plenty.
