Never had one, but there are a few advocates here who speak highly of them. Morris Hobbies
http://www.morrishobbies.com/ lists the .28.

Hey Mustang Ace,
Just a note, make sure you ring them first to check for availability of their engines.

I ordered a quickie 40 from them in the first week of May, & still hadn't recieved anything from them last week.
After being told they were waiting on pipes to come from the factory, & then they offered a different pipe from their stock, another 2 weeks went by & still nothing. In the end I cancelled the order, & ordered a Jett. They still havent e-mailed to say the order has been cancelled.....

Within 12hrs of ordering it, it was assembled, tested, & was shipped on Tuesday, & arrived here in Australia on Friday, 3 days later. The whole process took 8 days. Now thats what I call service !!!!!

I do like the look of the MVVS engines & have heard good reports of them, just took too long in my books

Good luck,
Tony...

I have the WOMBAT and it is a very strong engine for its size. Crasharama makes a good point... CALL YOUR ORDER IN... Customer service is not one of there strongest points. They have a store on EBAY so take a loor there... Just do a search for Morris Hobbies. Good luck. Hopefully you will have better luck than Crash did.

I have a .46, .45, and a mean little .28. They are all good running engines, easy on fuel but strong on performance. Also they are a little loud if you have touchy neighbors. I like mine, they are good engines.[sm=thumbup.gif]

Great engines! But I would think one would order the MVVS after the Jett was not available not the other way around...

Kinda like buying a Porsche since the Toyota was not in stock! [X(]

If you want speed the MVVS GRRT (40) is a monster-

The 2 stroke warbird class does not permit Nelson or Jett engines!

They will probably outlaw MVVS engines when I get through with them.

Hey Razor,
I know what you mean, I originally ordered the MVVS due to the price. Now I have the Jett in my hands I'm glad I moved up to the porsche !!!!

Can't wait till the weekend to hear it burst into life for the first time, & even better when I take it to the field as nobody here has ever heard of them. Its going to have a few people looking like this [X(][X(][X(][X(]

Mustang Ace- How about a ducted fan engine on the warbird like an OS-77VRDF?

Crasharama- Congrats on your new Jett When I first flew my Patriot with a Jett-50 on her the folks at my field had no idea what the "Jett" engine was, they kept asking "did you say jet engine, well who makes it" pretty funny....

Although they were clueless about my Irvine also- [X(]

Have fun down under mate!

Thanks Razor,
Gunna have a ball, & yep have already said to some guys that they are Jett engineering, takes the confusion out.
We do have a lot of pylon races here, including the Callow family, world champs & hold the fasest FAI times, they know what I am talking about, but the normal weekend warriors dont know much other than OS

HEY!

That looks nice... probably a good replacement for the discontinued Kangke F3D/30... it may be even better since the constuction sounds a little more solid when you read the ad.

The price is not too bad either...

I know of one of those WildHare birds flying now with a Jett BSE-35 up in the nose.

Pilot tells me its smoking fast. Apparently built very nicely - pretty strong.

Yes, its along the same lines as the Kangke F3D plane. Very similar.

I had a MVVS 28 and 40 - bad engines, problems with air leaks thru the front berings and witk carb. Dificult to set. I have changed the carb from ASP 36, bearings, plugs......All more expensive then OS! Forget about these engs. Now I replaced them by ASP36 and OS 46fx with success

MVVS has a new carburetor since a few years back and they work as good as anything else[sm=thumbup.gif], and I have one of those on my MVVS 49 and it runs very good and reliable[sm=thumbup.gif].

I also had a MVVS 40 with the "oldstyle carburetor" for many years back and although it never died while flying, the transition in the midrange was not very good while running on the ground. If you can not find them in the US then there are dealers in Sweden and Netherlands, surely they can help you with all the engines and parts. Good luck/Amir
