Hi Guys,
Just a quick question, as ive never mounted a tuned pipe before, ive finally got round to fitting my Rossi 53 with the Tuned Pipe to my Tigershark in the pics below......... after its last crash
.........
My question is i have a Tuned Pipe Mounting kit, but should the tuned pipe itself be level with the engine......... ie : as im holding it in the last pic ? ie the space between the side of the fuse and the pipe ? is that right or should it be mounted down ?????? any clues would be helpful thought i would ask to save me mucking it up
Thx in advance for any info..........

Hi!
Must ask...Isn't it hard to get the Cof G right on that airplane with that heavy Rossi on?
The Rossi .40-.45 is 50g heavier than all other .40-.46 engines, and that's a lot of weight on a small airplane.

I think all of the Rossi headers are mounted with springs. I went with a MACS header because I did not like that type of mount. Looks like it is subject ot leaks and posible separation and loss of header and pipe.

RC-Fiend: The Rossi has an adapter that inserts into the header and is secured with the Spring- I always ran mine like that and no problems---
It will not come off
That is how I was going to suggest you mount the pipe- Looks good!

Look closely at the rear of the pipe, and you will see the zip-tie holding the
rear of the pipe to a mount on the fuselage. The front spring holds the pipe
to the engine....no worries....the rear mount just keeps the rear of the
pipe from flopping around.
FBD.
