Default Help ID this plane????

Hi Guys,
While looking for a Patriot kit, I came across this plane and bought it. A real nice prop jet that looks like a Sky Ray. It is ready to be final sanded, glassed and painted. The guy I got it from, bought it at Toledo 6 years ago, and never did anything with it. Has an OS 61 VF in it that is new and Spring Air retracts and 5 JR 3021 servos. Anyone know anything about this plane? Wingspan is 47" length 68. Weight 5lbs 4 oz with radio installed as it sits. I t should come in around 7 lbs would guess.
I have no plans and no clue who designed it or if it is a kit or not. Any thoughts?

David

Not really a Vulcan, the aspect ratio is wrong plus the wing LE on the Vulcan have a double crank. Too short for an F102/106. Maybe some kind of a Dassault Mirage although the nose isn't right.

Could be a Skyray as you suspect...do you have a tail shot? It has a very distinctive tail shape.

Oooh- 61VF? Spring-Air retracts? Sounds REAL good so far! I love the Delta Jet looks...I would say Skyray but I am an amature-

You gonna use Z-poxy/Rubbing alcohol and .75 oz. glass on her? That'd be the ticket---

Keep us posted on that sweet prop-jet

David,

Follow this link: http://www.airbornemagazine.com.au/artJetRa.htm

It has the exact same picture that you have, and a complete construction article and such!!

Just happened to be browsing through the plans listed on this site, and Blamo, there it was!!

Hope this helps,
Steve

That site also had a couple of other pretty cool prop jet plans on it....

- F-111 Aardvark
- British Tornado
- F-18 Hornet
- F-14 Tomcat

I've always wanted a Tornado, so I'll likely add that to my list of plan built planes slated for winter construction!!! Because I need MORE projects!!! Yeah right.....
