Here are the throws I ended up with on my predator with an O.S. .46fx.
Ailerons and Elevators
Low Rate 1/4" up and down
High Rate 3/8" up and down
I take off and fly on low rates, and only use high rates to land.
You may want to go with slightly more aileron throw for the test flight. Some of the wings aren't exactly straight and you may need the added throw to keep it level.
As to a motor mount, you can get backplate mounts from a variety of sources. For sportflying a Hayes mount works fine, just mount the engine as close to the firewall as possible.

The Dave Brown 4650 mount works best on the Predator,I currently have two Predators and have had three others(R.I.P.)
Let me know if you want a pic of the engine mounted.
Mike.

The reason I suggest the Hayes mount is because the bolt pattern is the same as the Nelson Back Plate.
The Dave Brown mount holes do not match the Nelson back plate.
If you think you may want to put a nelson, or jett on the plane, consider the Hayes mount.

it currently has the holes drilled, as far as i can tell , he monted it to a back plate then to the firewall, so i got to make one, i think,i need to look at those mounts.
