They use to sell for $29 new, I've seen them go in the $50 range, but $75 seems high to me.

Nice sport speed.

the Scat Cat was a popular pylon racer 10-20 years ago. The sheeted foam core wing can take a lot of abuse. Rudder was optional but require for AMA Pylon racing.

I built one about 10 years ago for sport flying. First I a had a .25 on it then a K&B .40 and finally was a OS .46 FX.

I enjoyed mine (Short life) the airplane and a Jett-50 are STILL in this guys hill next to my "former" flying field--- Came out waving a shotgun when I told him I lost the plane on his mountain-side! Crazy yahOOO...

ANyhow, I had a K&B-7.5CC and pipe on it originally. Never got that OLD engine sorted out- It was a missile with the Jett-50 and I think an 8x 8.75?

Good luck!

Nothing mystical about the scat cat. Basic Q-500 design, was a standard for years. Flys well, smooth, stable. Generally pretty rugged.

Any decent .28 - .46 engine up front, and you have yourself a good sport plane.

For $75 with a set of servos, might make a good investment

Sorry, missed that.

I thought it was just for an unbuilt kit.
