Way to go Rosco and Dano!! This "O" thing is fun maybe I'll change to Vic-o[sm=bananahead.gif]...

Hey Razor, I bit the bullet today and bought a .40 Patriot[X(]. Two guesses what kind of engine I am gonna use.[sm=lol.gif]

I laid the CF up on the F-16 last night and am hoping to do some FG tonight and get that puppy flying.

Well hear are my two latest speedy planes, will test fly Shrike 40 on weekend.

The Red Hawk minus engine air intakes has a TT 46 pro which gained my access to revs brother hood.

The shrike has a Jen 56 (a 60 in a 40 crank case) Just Engines.

Weather looks good for weekend so will be flying....

Hey guys, I'm thinking about a little more power for my WM Dago Red. I read in another thread about YS 110's, Saito 100's etc.
I have a Saito 1.00 and a ST .90 so which one would you use and what prop???

Hey,
yesterday in school i was talking to my science teacher and i know this is probably one of the stupidest things i will ever try, but he told me how to set up a "nitrus" boost (it might not be nitrous) and i was wondering if anyone on here has tried anything like this and what type of secondary fuel should i inject it with?? (i don't plan on puting this on an airplane or anything else for this matter except a test stand with nothing with in 50ft of it except a concrete wall, so it isn't like i am going to kill anyone with this thing i just want to know if you think it will work)

There is a thread on here about that... Try a search -

Sounds fun as long as it is safe and it sounds like you have that figured pretty well--

Keep us posted!

Hello brothers,
I flew my LA-2 with the Jett 90 this weekend. Wow was that fun. I like my plane, but with a bad paint job(crash and rebuilt minus paint) I am afraid to show pictures. Bob27 I changed the glow plug and adjusted the idle screw. Transition is MUCH better. It doen't die now Very very fast......does 120 sound reasonable with a APC 13/6??????????

Ace,

glad you have it running better. Usually ends up being something simple like that, depending on the installation.

Ummmmmmmm........ I guess 120 would be in the ball park if the prop is turning more than 13.5K rpm on the ground.... it would unload a bunch in flight. What sorta RPM did you see with the 13x6 ??

If you are just looking for speed, it might be worth going down to a 12" prop. Let me know what you are turning now.

Made two more flights on it today and flew awesome. One of the local turbine guys calls it a "missle" [8D]

LA-2 pattern ship/Jett 90 with two spacers for muffler gear clearance.

Check out the pics Bob.

I fly a Miss America mustang from W.M. basically p-51d where as dago is p-51bI fly with YS91 useing 12x9 prop and do over 130mph, the 110 is supposed to run 500 rpm more on same props as 91 which means a steeper prop as we already turn 11500 on the ground on 91 and I've ran this engine for 2 years as my daily flyer average 6 flights a day.
I have siato on an extra, you won't get the power like a YS but it is reliable.
