Hi KF! What do you think of the F3 plane in the background? My buddy is storing one in my shop and I have given it the hairy eyeball once or twice.

Hey Vicman:

If you are refering to the Kangke "red bullet" on my rack, it tracks & flies like like a pattern ship. In the nose is a OS 32SX with an 8 x 8 prop. Clocked at over 165 mph.
It comes in "HOT" for landing!

Thats what I swiped the MVVS .28 from to put in my Miss LA. The owner of the plane gave me a MVVS .49 rear exhaust to shoehorn back into it[:@]. Hence the hairy eyebal. I may need to find another ship that needs an emergency motor. For some reason he kept the carb thinking that would prevent me from using it in something else

I always thought the thing was a little heavy vs size myself. How about you?

Whoa Krysten, that baby looks fast, bet it'll top 10 m.p.h. after the brushless mod.!

I had one of those awhile back...I had a speed 280 in it at first, then a 300...but it bounced off (into ) the basketball backboards a few too many times and I retired it...

I like planes that go fast. With the brushless, the IFO should haul!! I'm already seeing 80+ MPH (distance over time) on the IFO with stock motor. I imagine that with brushless I should go over 100+.

Yo Vic, the 'Stang flew for the first time today. Couldn't have been easier. A couple clicks of trim here and there and all is well. Absolutely no surprises. I won't bore everyone by posting pictures of yet another WM .45 size P-51 Miss America. For those who haven't been following my saga, I ended up using a K&B .61 Twister. It'll be interesting to see what it does after the engine is broken in so I can lean it out a bit and I put on a more agressive prop. Should I ask for some kind of number?

Chuck....the 11-7 1/2 Master Airscrew is "THE" best prop for that engine.

Krysten....the Revver Bros. Application Approval Committee adjourned this session
with approving your speed plane entry. They will reconvene after the Presidents
Holiday weekend....however at this point I would say, "it doesn't look good". []

Razor....I have the Log book....

FBD.
My name is Bob and I hereby formally request membership in the brotherhood.

My first speed plane was a Scat Cat and yes it did have a working rudder. Followed by a Dominator and .46FX piped. Next was a V-Vector and MVVS Q-40.

My first Whiplash was shot down hand it hit so hard the cylinder was torn from the crankcase! Whip #2 lead a hard life and was retired. Whip #3 went AWOL and has not yet been found. Whip #4 is the Purple with yellow flames Jett FIRE .50 Whip #5 is in the paint shop and I will post photos when she arrives. She may be seen at Toledo. The Laser Arrow with a YS 45 FIRE was sold, Arrow was too thick to go fast.

FI_Flashaman:
The Magnum hauls butt with the sport Jett 50, it needed tail wieght, and it could use a pipe for another 750RPM. My buddy had one with the Weston UK 50. And I think his was a tad faster than mine in current form. He thinks not. But we never got the chance to find out. When flying my plane does not seem to be as fast to me as it actually is.

Bob

With Razor touting his pattern job and now an ifo as an aplication, FBD and his closet geezer planes,[8D] I was beginning to question my membership to the brotherhood.[sm=stupid.gif]

Chuck, sorry we couldn't hook up this week. We need to get togeather again, maybe my next trip out. Post your pic and fill out the formal ap. FBD will give you the apropriate consideration
