I was at the field you show in a previous post in November. I watched Albert fly his Bobcat and Dave Shulman fly the Bandit also. Pretty awesome show. I look forward to returning maybe this summer. I have family in Orlando so when we visit I will certainly stop by the flying field. Love those fast planes!

yea dave puts on an awsome show everytime he takes to the sky. i seen him do a 50 grit pass with the wing tip of the ultra bandit. the new bigger bandit.

I started with a Super Sportster w/ O.S. 46 ax. Much faster than I was ready for and it was out
of site in seconds. A new fuselage and recovering the wing and now it is a bunch of fun and radared at 117 mph.
I recently finished a Lanier Dominator w/ Magnum 46. This thing is fast and is very smooth. Just got to find a way
to stay with a fellow flyer #164 and his viper.

Has anyone got plans for a Diamond Dust. I have one on order from Morris but no indication on when it might ship. I thought I read on a post that there was plans but I can not find the post now.

I just heard from Morris Hobbies about the availability of the DD. They said the person they get the ARF kit from is in Germany and will not return until June. Looks like it will be awhile before I can get this one.

Pretty quick. During a steep dive the deflectors started flattering. Almost lost the plane when one aileron pushrod came loose. I am thinking of strapping my auto nav GPS on it but how to clock the speed without increasing the weight and jeopardizing the navi?

Hey havent heard from anyone on here for good while? maby everyone is out flying. But anyway anyone that flies fast planes has crashed at some point or the other, (hey anyone that flies rc has crashed) I had a pretty good one the other day, my skyraider(not really that fast but anyway) broke the wing in a high g turn, must have pulled the batt. wire because it stayed wide open till the end, naturally out of a 10,000 acre soft plowed field it hit dead center in the only paved road around, made a dent in the asphalt about inch and a half deep, but was a really cool crash! one of the guys in the club that saw it said in 15 years he'd never heard a plane hit the ground so hard (made me proud LOL)
pretty much shattered an almost new AX and everything else, but i was able to salvage the tail wheel.
so does anyone else out there have any good crash pics. to share?

For a second I thought I could bring my plane down with 1/3 of the wing missing. The Sportster came down all in red pieces. Building currently on a Mach Racer 8-))). The show MUST go on.

Great Planes 40 size Mustang with a Supertigre 75. This airplane has been flying longer than I have been in the hobby and is 12 years old. I aquired it from my instructor when he got bored with it. It is totally held together with epoxy and has worn out 3 engines prior and now wears it current Supertigre 75.
Great Planes Big Stick 40 Modified. Used to have a OS 46 FX, got bored and found that Rossi was offering the .45 with mini tuned pipe for $99.00. The Rossi almost put this poor ARF in and the covering came off during flight. The main spar was reinforced, wingtips and rudder modified, lost the Trike gear and made it a proper taildragger, mounted the Rossi on its side.
Current projects that got sidelined by the ex wife 5 years ago, Dominator 500 with a Rossi Q500 engine, GP 40 Mustang with a 90 ST. I think that the GP mustang should now get a Jett .90 and I just aquired a Nelson Q500 SS for the Dominator.
I now have two vipers, still in the box, just arrived last week, and have Rossi q500 engines for them. Current aspirations are next to a F-20 and then a Q-40.
As a note I was hooked on speed planes by my instructor who let me fly a .20 size p-51 mustang with a ported Rossi 40 with full tuned pipe and shaved down wings. He said it did about 130 or so and I can still remember to this day that first full throttle pass parallel to the runway with the engine just screaming, and my inside voice saying ohh...yeah!!

Lil' mishap with my Mach Racer. One of the elevon clevises came loose during a high speed dive. I was able to save her from crashing in a nearby lake but she crashed in the security fence with some speed. The Mach Racer is repairable but got some bruises. Will need a nylon motor mount, some wood work inside from the battery that accelerated through, new prop and: Z-Bend only connections!

Hello Im in!!!!! My name is Bill It was a normal day at the feild an splat she went in,She was a lovely ucan do,My second plane just got my wings in march,She was gone!!!!So i picked her up took her home,Then it all started!!! OS 55ax On a world models sky raider mach 2 racer.The club thought he's crazy too fast to much!!!! haha As I blew bye at 90 mph they said the wings are going to come off!!!I said well we will see !!!! its been three months and its a blast the wings are still on now Im going to find a 70 somthin for it ...

Hi Bill: Try an engine with more rpm's like a Rossi or a Jett engine. That sky raider cries for a Jett .40+. Too big displacement will only make you nose heavy but not necessarily much faster. Jett makes .60 engine in the size of an OS .46 with less weight and turns up 18,000+ rounds.

I'm a beginner so I only have the twist an easystar and a nexstar. So I can't be part of this club? I put a big engine on the twist but I haven't flown it yet.
