Good reflexes!
Rudeboy, any additional info, such as web links, on this project? Any idea how the 220 mph estimated top speed is derived? Looks like landing speed is about half the top speed.

Awesome, but can you imagine the price of that setup ??
Razor,
Download the file and try "Media Player classic" @ http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/
It might help you.

Saw that vidio somewhere else eletric flight forum i think
From memory jhvent time to verify it with motor calc or similarTo get 220 mph at 100% prop efiency with a 9 inch pitch prop I think you need some 35K
alowing for normal 70% rule that reguires closer to 45 k RPM
I figure realy with a 40 mph folowing tailwind and down wind dive doing real speed in the air of 180mph and thats the 220 mph explained

RE: Electric Weston Magnum video
rpm x pitch speed for a 9 pitch prop at 32000 is 272 mph. A 6" prop on a magnum seems a little small to me and I am sure drag would keep it from getting anywhere close to 272 mph. ThrustHP calculates just under 4 lbs of thrust. I think that take off shows it had more then that considering it is a 5 1/2 lb plane.
Overall I think it is neat and makes me consider electrics. I wonder how well that $1000 motor and battery holds up in a crash?
