Default DO YOU HAVE THIS PROBLEM?

Can't find the time to fly but I can always find time to drop by the local hobby shop and buy something after work!
What good is it to have some speed planes if you can't get to fly them?
Is it me or is there less time the older I get.
With a small family business, 4 kids, a wife, 8 pieces of equipment to maintain, birthday parties, relatives, etc... etc... etc... it seems like I can never get away anymore!
Does anyone have this disfunction?
If so please chim in and tell me there's hope for the future!
I have missed the last 2 Rev Bro's get together's and I will be !@#$%^&*&^%$#@! if I miss the next one!
Just blowing off a little steam, thanks for the ear!

Don't forget Murphy's Law, bad luck, bad timing, etc.

Everyone seems to agree that a good Balance is key. For us addicts, this includes flying regularly. You must make time to keep your sanity. That's how it is for me anyway

You could always just send one or all of your speed planes out to the field with one of the "Rev Bro's"
I'm sure they would be happy to give you a flight report (and pictures of any crashes involving your planes).

Any volunteers ?????

These answers are making me feel better!
At least your willing to fly them for me for free! That one worries me a little![sm=spinnyeyes.gif]
The wife is gonna have to stay because the child support would be "MASSIVLEY UNBELIEVABLY GARGANTUAN!"(plus she's relly hot and knows what the bedroom is for![X(][:-])
She is not the problem at all she thinks planes are cool and she says I can buy as many as I want!
Plus she's a good cook!
I think KMOT is correct with Murphy's law and sucked timing they seem to hover over me![:@][sm=punching.gif]
I just need to make time I guess.

Nope, a good friend and mentor explained this to me once, there isn't less time as you get older, time just goes faster as you get older...

My wife told me....either her or the airplanes had to go....

....I miss her sometimes.
C'mon Dave, fess up. You don't really miss her...

I had the same conversation with mine, only over motorcycles. Now she is gone and there are 5 bikes in the garage...[X(]

Hell no, but since it's too hot to fly much now (it's like a friggin desert here) but I do spend alot of time buying stuff on the internet. It's not all flying anyhow..you have buying, selling, building, rebuilding, thinking about what to build next, reading all this stuff, trying to raise funds to buy more and cleaning up the huge mess after a project.

I enjoy looking at stuff also, and will have seasons where I cannot fly but I still might be looking for some type of part to an engine or hardware for a plane. If it doesn't become a compulsion where you stick yourself with stuff you know you'll never use why not? However, I do know guys that buy stuff and they find their enjoyment in just having stuff; I used to be critical until I found out that their health was in question. Their purchase of something from a swapmeet was their way of staying connected and fulfilled by at least having something to show for a hobby they had grown old with.

Ummmmmm.. YES I too suffer from the same affliction !!

I always figured when I was grown up and had a good job I could afford kewl toys and have time to play with them.
Nope.

Kids, wife, house, kids school, mulch, lawn, littleleague, soccer, wife, work, school (yes me, self inflicted, but will be worth it), wife, etc.......

This year Ive only been out flying 3 days. 3 !!! that sucks ! Other times I had opportunity it rained or snowed or blowed.
And I figured Im the only one who spends 6 months building an ARF. I once built a TopFlite Corsair from the box to the sky in a month.

Steam vent open !

I have it also, although Saturday is dedicated "flying day". My wife will not schedule a function on a Saturday in the summer, it just doesn't happen.
