That white and red prop seems to have an infinite pitch, I bet it won't unload much

I have always used an APC 8x8 on the .32 for speed. On the MVVS pylon motors I still use it or a 8x9 (mucho rpm-o) and on the Magnum Webra .50 I use a 8x9 or 10...

The speed event is not my doing but I am planning to go, it'll be fun around others that like speed. They'll alos have a good high $$$ radar gun that has no problems picking up even my smaller electric speed planes. Maybe you guys could plan something like a speed day and advertise it... during the fall when the weather is good...

OK does not sound fun this time of year... I travel for a living too and try to plan for the heat and/ or cold...

Mscic..........

How long was your header after tuning?

What RPM did you get, static?

Just trying to see how they're turing out.

STRYKAAS,

To get the 36 Webra Race (Ultrathrust) race muffler you will need to call PSPEC and talk with Dave...What you need is not posted on the web site so a conversation with Dave is needed....Tell him you need the RACE version that will fit the OS 32 SX....The Exhaust ports are the same size as well as the screw mounts......Be sure to tell him it's for a 36 Webra so he'll know that it's going on that motor..... It will use 4-40 screws and will need to be 2 to 2 1/4 inches long. Be sure to mention this as he sent me one's that were to short... He put in a note with the muffler that he wasn't sure they would be long enough. So give him a update on that.... Again I assure you it's the right size fit.... He will charge you the same price as other race versions...Dave is a super guy and will go the extra mile for you....Shipping is at the speed of light.... I can tell you it's like putting a turbo charger on the motor....When you mount it be sure to use a light coating of silicon sealant to ensure a clean seal to the motor exhaust port as Webra does make there port a little thin...The sealant doesn't need to be hi temp....If you don't like the performance increase it gives I'll buy it from you..... Today Mark and I tested the OL with a Webra .36 running a Mac's tuned pipe, using three different props, measured with the "How Fast" from Winged Shadow.

9 X 7 140.2 mph
8 X 8 139.0 mph
8 X 9 135.4 mph

Thank you for your advice ! Actually Dave told me (by email) that they DON'T sell any race version for the Webra .32/.36, as the sport version is tuned up to 21.000 rpm. Does this imply that the sport versions are made on order and that he has some stock to get rid of ?
Here is what he told me :
"The "sport" version will work up to 21000 rpm so we don't make a racing version. Neither the 32/36 will live very long at these rpm's anyway. I would not run them over 18000 on the ground if you want them to live very long. "

Only a slight breeze, about 3-5 knots at right angles to the runway.

What's your measured static RPM using the APC 9X7 prop?

Why do you ask? The How fast is on board so it reads airspeed, no correction required...

I would send you the picture but it's just too much trouble right now. It was mounted with two servo screws on the top wingtip. I mounted the HF components on a thin peace of plastic about 6 inches long, 5/8 inch wide, with the 12 volt type N battery in the rear, IC and pitot / static tubes out front. Looked for long and narrow for min drag.

I'll send you a picture later.

The HF is a sobering device. Much like a fish scale. I would have sworn it goes faster than that. Being small, it appears faster. My Laser Arrow using the same .36 Webra and a little larger goes 136.4 mph but seems much slower.

139 on the .36 is good, especially in the summer heat, nothing to thumb your nose at. I base it on the 8X8... That's what most people use and what I use for comparisson..
