RE: OUTLAW from EXTREME FLIGHT
Yes, the APC 8x8 is THE prop for the .32... Where did you find a .32? I need to find a couple piston/ cylinder kits to freshen a couple of mine up.

Evan,
Kind of took your advice, kind of didn't.
Still going ahead with the e conversion on the Outlaw but DID pick up an Enigma for a speed plane.
The shame is Oly didn't see my ad for the Webra till last night!!! lol

RE: OUTLAW from EXTREME FLIGHT
Evan, I don't spend much time on ebay but it seems like I'm always seeing OS.32 parts there. I'm also seeing a lot of Nelson .36s for sale that are the most powerful engines in this size range that I know of...without any doubt. These would need a carb adapted to them but I think they are worth the effort. They'll put out 10%+ more power I'm willing to bet and at the same weight.

Thanks CP, I'll take a look. Keep me in mind if you ever see them. The OS .32 is just such a sweet performer and the carb action is perfect, plus I have a bunch of them between speed and fun fly planes.

When I got the Motrofly I'm using from Ken/Subsonic and took a look at the
windings I was floored.Never seen such thick gauge wire in a motor this small.
Man is this thing gonna suck some serious amps!
Glad I got c/f's heat sink/motor mount going on the back of this thing!

RE: OUTLAW from EXTREME FLIGHT
I traded off my kit built outlaw but I had to have another and baught a used one yesterday. It's had a hard life but its fixable.
Glad your maiden went well, oly!
Does anyone have an idea on what's going on at EF with the ARF? It's been out of stock for ever and I can't get any answers.

I think 180 can be done but I think it'll take at least 1500W and a bit of playing with the airframe to get the packs it would need. The ARF is just not a good starting place for this, get the old plans and build one, modify it, have fun with it.

RE: OUTLAW from EXTREME FLIGHT
I bought my plans from the original designer about 12-13 years ago. I won't copy peoples plans, I don't think it's ethical. Sorry. I'm sure if you posted there will be people that would send you a set. Maybe your post above will get you a set. Building from plans is a great way to make mods. The Outlaw is a wonderful design that lends itself well to making them bigger, smaller, twins, with floats, electric... The Diamond Dust does too.

RE: OUTLAW from EXTREME FLIGHT
Ok, I thought plans were available for purchase somewhere, since you suggested getting the old plans. I just like to build, if I can't find any, I'll give EF a call. DG

RE: OUTLAW from EXTREME FLIGHT
Jerry Smith designed it and E cubed sold them along with the first short kits. As far as I know EF sells the ARFs, no plans (mine didn't come with any plans just instructions). I think your best bet is to ask some others here in the universe or over on the group.

Had to put that out there in case anyone else was going the same route as me.
Didn't want them to find out the hard way.

i just got assembling my outlaw.
im running Hitec digital HV servos 5665's i think
0s .35AX on powerbox muffler (standard)
2cell 600Mah battery (lipo)
flight tech 5a regulator (i have a non HV servo on rudder and throttle, but its nice to have failsafe switch!)
orange version with cool dubro orange annodized prop nut :P
built as per manual with cg slightly forward of 12" like at 12.075ish to get technical.
anyhow i got to revive this thread. i promise good pics and video if i get some good suggestions on alternate muffler if needed, also which nitro content is best, oil fuel mix really needed to ask just that i guess.
plug recomendation with said fuel type
prop selection
lastly how many flights do you guys get on your battery packs? please specify capacities!
Thanks so much for helping me out a bit. i really always liked how deltas fly and i also am needing something besides 3d and heli for a change.

Don't bother.
Find a webra or OS or norvell .32-.36
they come out nose heavy already. And even if you could get it to ballance without a brick on the tail, the weight offset from the engine being mounted sideways you'd also need weight on the wing tip to ballance it laterally.
So your adding a ton of dead weight for less rpm and more torque from a bigger prop.
It wouldn't bet you any more speed, intact it would be slower, stall at a higher speed and only be able to fly strait and roll. It would high speed stall and lumber through loops. It wouldn't act or perform like an outlaw at all.
