RE: sick of jetts
.........YAWN..........
........RELAX EVERYONE.........
This Forum is about "Extreme Speed Prop's"!
This thread is about "Sick of Jett".
Maybe the next should be about " Sick of Electric's"?
I am not going to start it but whatever.
To each his own.
Some like "Glo" and some like "electric".
All of it will still be for sale on your "Hobby Shelves" in the morning.
Buy whatever "Turn's Your Crank" or "Spin's Your Shaft"!
It's all good!
All welcome to the next "REVVER'S GET TOGETHER"
Peace!

Here is a suit for you to wear next time you are forced to fly with real model airplanes!
ORIGINAL: I_Fly_Coolers
" Hey Bob thanks for holding my plane while I adjusted the needle "

" real model airplanes "
Does anyone else see the irony in that statement ?
Is that suit available in red ?

lol..
As for sounding damn good on that electrified Sundowner, well it's a matter of taste. Either you have it, or you don't.
Try this on for size:

Those who are not delighted to start/tune a glow engine CANNOT understand the taste for glow engines. Don't try to talk about advantages / drawbacks of one over the other. It's beyond that. A glow engine talks to my heart, as far as I am concerned. It's not a logical nor a well thought decision to use it [:-], I mean I don't even try to imagine if electrics would be cheaper, cleaner or anything else. It tends to look like 'passion'... Like those (maybe the e-fans) that have that kind of bizarre passion for the outfit posted above . And don't start a war, it's pointless...

RE: sick of jetts
If you look at the beginning of this thread it takes on a theme of gas kicks..... and electrics suckle.
I don't ever start threads saying electrics are better than gas but I sometimes comment when electrics are getting dogged.
I do think one thing that gives many people the wrong impression is the number of "foamy" type electric planes. I think they can give the wrong impression of what can be done with electrics.
But it's all good, we're all in the same hobby, and I don't hold it against any of the gas guys that their planes can't fly as fast as mine

RE: sick of jetts
one of my favorite smells is castor oil coming from a 2 cycle airplane engine running. love it, love it, love it. it still takes me back to the days of when i was a kid, watching model airplanes being flown by someone else, always hoping to fly one myself one day. you can still spot me at the field today, i'm the one with oil all over me from standing in the prop wash of someone's plane still smelling castor oil. of course, i also own my own nitro burners now.
