basic GDF questions

Hello,
I have never flown or owned a glow powered ducted fan before.
I noticed that these planes need tuned pipes. I also noticed that there can be eitehr pusher or tracter set ups.
Does anyone know of a post that goes through all the basics and shows the best places to purchase the fans?

I'm subscribing because I'm anxious to get the same information.
I've always wanted a jet, but turbines are too expensive and propjets aren't very pretty on the runway (IMHO). I've also looked at EDF, but battery prices (and their chargers) are pretty ridiculous.

Just out of curiousity, what engine are you planning on using? I was looking into a DF engine for my warbird and thought the OS 91 VFDF as a very good choice. Someone here has one with a warbird spinning at 16500 with a 11x11 APC.
