Speed Models' Stinger 40
NO, not the Lanier Stinger 40, the Speed Models' Stinger 40!
Anyway, this thing looks like it could be very, very fast. Check them out at http://www.jetenspeedmodels.nl/. I would imagine that one of these could give a DD or Whip a run for it's money.

Tom,
Those kits look very interesting. Indeed, it's very much similar to the Quarter Midget .40 we have here in the U.S. I think I may order a .40 size for my everyday Sport flying. After all, I do need a Sport plane for weekend flying since I do not have one now.
Thanks for the web site info!

One of the dealers (www.modellmotorentechnik.de) of this plane claims that speeds in excess of 360 Km/h (223 MPH) are already clocked with this plane. To bad the engine isn't cowled. That should make it even faster.

Paulus:I would like some info on the Kasumi 21 (40" WS .20-.32 engine). A recent issue of Model Airplane News had a short blurb about this plane being very popular in Holland. Its supposed to sell for 100 euros over in your neck of the woods but here its supposed to be $85 at Hobby Barn. Is this an ARF or ARC or a built up kit? The info on Jet and Spped's site is very limited.

Shemp,
I've never had one in my hand. There was more info on the old site so this is from memory.
The wings are pre sheeted with abachi. I believe the fuselage comes pre painted. Stabilizer and fin are precut.
There used to be 2 versions. Eco and Pro. The pro version had the LE and tip already added and shaped. Also the ply parts in the fuselage were already cut out.
I'm not sure what version is being sold now.

RE: Speed Models' Stinger 40
Hi,
Speed models is not on vacation.
If you are looking for a model with a cowl
the Beretta 21 is interesting.
It flies 300 km.
The Stinger 40 is faster with a Nelson.
We flew 375 km.
The new Stinger 21 can be flown with an
O.S. max 32 SX or f.a. a Rossi 21 with 2,4 HP.
The Kasumi 21 is very fast too.
Can also be used with a rear exhaust.
If you have more questions please do not hesitate
to ask them.
Regards,
Look.
