Wouldn't that be a little like skipping a rock across a pond?

Not a viper, but I have flown Q-500 designs on floats.

Not a problem. Flys well.

A little bit of yaw instability if anything, but nothing critical.

28" are pleanty large enough.

He's put outlaws and all kinds of other speed planes on floats. I see him over in the seaplanes forum all the time.

I have a Lanier Predator on GeeBee floats. I'm using 40 Super Tigre. I have taken it to several float flys and have been told that it was the fastest plane at the event.

It will do a wicked snap when you pull up full and quick on the evlevator.
It comes in hot. I use a lot of expo in the elevator to allow smooth landings and touch n goes.

Give it a go.
