Default Pusher Prop for TH .75

Need recomendations for a pusher prop on a Tower Hobbies .75. It is on a Balsa USA Enforcer. I've read a few post that say 11x6 or a 11x7 pusher. The manual suggest a 12x6 or 13x6. Why are some using the 11x6 or 11x7 for the pusher? I am totally new to pusher props.

Of all the props I have tried the 12x6 zinger pusher makes the most thrust and gave the highest top end. The downside is they succumb to pebbles or landing bounces very easily, so much so that I use an 11x7 apc. I would love to try an apc 12x6 pusher if there was such a thing.

I just sent APC an email asking them to consider making a 12x6, 13x6 for engines like this, there are many popular airframes these days flying .75 engines which could benefit from these. We shall see.

Thank you, that answers my question. I will send a letter also. I just ordered two of the Zingers before I got your response. I already have the APC 11x6 and 11x7.

Thanks again.

I had good luck with the Graupner 11x8 Pusher.

Yeah, that would be my suggestion too. Very good prop.

I have a TH .75 and tested APC 11 x 7p to turn 14,700 rpm. However I was unable to set the low speed needle to run clean at idle. The 11 x 7p did not appear to load the engine sufficiently.

The only 12” pusher props that I found were wood. I ordered a Graupner 11x8 Pusher to try. If the 11 x 8 doesn’t load the engine a 12” prop will be next. Unfortunately with 12” diameter props the Bob Cat will have ground clearance problems.

With a heat gun and a pitch gage (home made pusher gage) you can tweak the Graupner 11X8 to 11X10 easy.
