I just got a used Sparrowhawk from a hobby store. By the looks of the plane, it seems like it is built to go fast. It has heavy duty hinges, high torque servos, and the two halfs of the wing are fiberglassed together.
But, I don't know what the engine is. The prop that came on it is an 11xsomething and it is set at a noticeabe angle. (for torque?) The first picture is just the engine on the plane, the second is next to a OS .40 engine for a size comparison. By the looks of the plane, I may need a higher nitro content fuel for this.

My Feedback: (3)
One of K&B's latest and most modern engines, not bad! Follow the beak-in directions in the link given above. Props to try: Master Airscrew S2 type 11X7, APC 11X6, 11X7, 9X8, 9X9.
The engine is mounted "side winder" style to put the carb with the fuel tank's center line to aid with fuel draw in High G turns. Make sure the distance from tank to needle is the shortest path, no right turns through a "T" or cheap filter. You will gain little if anything using more than 15% nitro on this engine. Is that a tuned pipe exhaust under there?

I started it today, runs NICE, idles GREAT! On idle, the plane won't move on pavement, this is the first one of my planes that does this! (I fly off grass though so it doesn't really matter)
