I guess they might need to determine the method of proving the speed at that point. Maybe the FAI rules would be the way to start. We could get Uncle Sam to pony up the cabbage for the high tech timing equipment and have a compliant event over here instead of letting the Germans dog us about how our radar guns are worthless.

The AMA has had a 100 mph speed limit for years for RC models.  They define under 100 as low performance, which the model must be to fly at night.

They have had the speed limit for certain models. Now it seems they want to apply it to all models. This would knock out a lot of competition, especially world competition by US entrants. Correct?

Ohhh,
Nothing concrete yet and some people are almost ready to move away and quit RC.
This is how all the crazy mess starts. Dont worry all will be good and no one is going to limit us on speed. At the end we pay AMA to exist and we have the power to change that.<o></o>
