A picture's worth a thousand words....
....This is what happened on the first flight, when the
elevator servo broke loose....it has a metric spinner
nut, and that's the only screw they had at the hardware
store that would fit (after I cut it down)....
....you guys are brutal....

POOR.. to say the least...
You won't find UNF threads in a hardware store over here... no chance...
Some well sorted local hobby shops have a few screws maybe, but that's it.
Or you can go to an "industrial hardware store" and buy a box of 1000...

Pic in post #36 precedes this one....
I was able to do a slick job on the tank, with a proper
foam installation. The tank on the stocker doesn't fit
well, and mounts on an angle....you can't foam it
properly either....
....the front retract mount was also beefed with some
hardwood and ply....

Actual picture of the muffler....
....and of course the crankcase was busted as well....
....ordered up a new case, and misc. parts, and the
Lady at Tower Hobbies sent me a new muffler for free.
The case was super easy to change out....because the
liner and rod comes right off.... ....
...is this FUN, or what...?

Cermark
Well,
As far as i've seen on Cermarks website they don't make their F-20 anymore...And Direct connection is going out of business...Right now they have the F-20 for $150 Summer Sale before they close. The DC F-20 is great and looks awesome...Instructions are good for anyone who has basic builder skills, also it's an ARC (almost ready to cover) so you can add your own covering. I'd recommend this plane to anyone if you have flying experience and want to burn up the fky..

Magnum
I was going to buy the Magnum also,
I had my name on a list for one cause they were on back order. But the only thing I don't like is no landing gear on that plane I am custom installing Air Retracts and Oleo struts in my DC F-20...I guess Custom Landing gear in the Magnum would be the best thing at the field

Nice
Yeah,
If you have pics of that i'd sure like to see, maybe i'll make that my next Project. I'm not sure how fast the DC-F20 is compared to the Magnum, but if it's worth another speed Demon i'll think about one...We have a nice big paved runway at my field so I don't fly a plane without a landing gear installed...I also like the realisim, and my arm would get tired of throwing a 6lb plane..lol

JohnVH please either post the pics or email 'em.
I'd like to see them toooooooooooooooo!
Could I put a normal Sc40-SC46 in a magnum? i know it won't go as fast but i'm still a beginner to the hobby and only had 4 planes so don't want speed, just a great jet looking prop plane.
In fact a dosile magnum would be great! (can someone tell me if it would be ok!)
Cheers
Dave

I'm sure
I don't see how that motor would hurt,
Just as you said it won't beat any speed records by any margin, but it will fly just fine. I'm not sure how slow the magnum will fly, my guess is if it's a 150mph plane it's probably not the best stable plane as far as slow flight is concerned...But if you keep the gas up and fly it as a sport plane till you want to move up to a faster engine i'm sure it'll work great. I'd make sure you have some decent flying experience for higher speed landings if this is the case with the Magnum.
