OS 77 df engine with a 10-10 on a verry light Patriot XL. Any thought would be appreciated. Phil

Do you know what the factory says for the Rpm range on that engine, just curious.
I think its probably up to 22000 range, 10x10 might be too much prop.
My Pat XL ran with a Jett 90 and a 10x10 prop was ok but I also found that the 10" diameter not enough dish area of prop for that plane I ended up using an 11x8.
Just my 2cents.

To me that sounds like a lot of prop load for that engine; do you know it can be set up to run happily with that prop or is it an educated guess?
