RE: B52 Crash Update,
In a full and frank report the pilot stated that, partly due to distractions on the flight-line, but principally as a result of an "incorrect input" due to disorientation, the model was overbanked and crashed
Just my thoughts, Enrique

RE: B52 Crash Update,
The B52 will rise from the ashes.
Another B52 is at the moment under construction by the same builder. It will be powered by 8 of Wrens MW54 mark 3 engines. Substantial modifications are being made to the design.
See the news section on the Wren site for details.

It looks just like a full scale crash site.........as least no one was killed.
Build another one.

that was asked after this crash. He put all the best equipment in etc etc.
But at the end of the day, if it is pilot error, the equipment wont make a
difference, the piolt is to blame, although here in the UK we all have
BMFA insurance to cover death, if it killed somebody, then it would
be a huge problem for aeromodelling. We are having a hard time as it is,
its hard to find cheap flat sites (its hard to find sites at all), no government (lottery) funding therefore usally
big membership prices etc.
I do think that the LMA have published new 'over 20kg' rules.
Was this the biggest RC model?

RE: B52 Crash Update,
Yes it is a Belgian B29, four ZDZ 210's for power. 12 metre wingspan (36foot compared to the B52's 20?)
They have a website somewhere, search google some and you should find it, for such a large model I swear it has no flaps!!!
I think there are also new "over 80kg rules" in addition to the 7 and 20 kg rules. Or was it 100kg? I am not sure but this was mentioned in either RCM&E or the BMFA news
