i have a water cooled header that i cant keep o-rings in! they keep melting causing water to flow into exhaust or if both melt (which eventually they both do) water spills into hull. obviously this is not good. i have a water pump which is overkill considering i dont have a clutch. water flow is good. i am running water from the head directly to the header but surely that is not causing the problem!? or could it? my couple also keeps breaking at the pipe. what am i doing wrong? should i be using a wet exhaust and will this decrease my performance?
i appreciate any advise you have to offer.

does anybody make or seen a clamp on cooling ring of some kind to cool a header pipe? i ordered a Warehouse Hobbies wet header clamp with the thought of modifying it to cool the header pipe. since its arrival i've been staring @ it and i'm kinda thinking of taking a dremel with a cutting wheel and creating a channel in the middle of the inner diameter and drilling through at either end of the channel to accept two brass water fittings. any thoughts from anyone? waste of time or not?

well experiment is complete and the results are in on my clamp idea. it keeps the pipe really cool! it also turns out to keep the tuned pipe, engine, the hull, flotation, and just about anything else inside the boat because it leaks like mad! that was a pretty damn dumb idea. oh well i had to try. next time i come up with something that stupid will one of you vets stop me please?
