Hi, my scanner saves images as bitmap files in Paint,and I need an easy way to
convert them to jpg's so I can post them here. I have Win 2000

look up and download gimp for windows. i use it and its a free open source program that you can use to open and save from bmp to jpg.

You don't have to buy or download anything.
In MS-Paint, click File > Save As and choose jpg as the file type.

And if you look at the scanner software, it's very possible that you can choose the format it saves them in.

My dropdown for Save has no jpg option, only bmps

I had finepixviewer on a previous computer, but after installing in this one,
I cant get the feature which shows all my desktop photos together--thats
where I saved them to desktop and they became jpg's
