You're flying right??? More than I'm doing.

Well... I went and bought another aero upgrade kit. Woodies $18, upgrade kit $28. It's worth $10 to get a new motor and heat sinks with the blades. Bad news... it flies just the same with the new motor and woodies. I used all 3 of the tp910s and all performed the same. I'm afraid it's time to upgrade to a T-Rex. This blade is still fun as heck to fly around the back yard but I'm progressing outside of the Blade's limit. If I had a Pro it would be different. I think a brushless set-up and gyro would do the trick to get it where I'd be happy for a while. I certainly would have spent a ton more $ learning to fly on a T-Rex than on my Blade. The BLade is some of my best spent hobby money! Wheeeeeeee......... Blade CP!
God Bless!

"I have an X400 sitting on the shelf."
Bad place of it you should be flying it.

HELLO BROTHERS ... I am RICK (the very ancient one) and I am BAAAAAACK (gremlins ! ) from Italy.
One hour after arriving I took the PRO out to the drive, and it flew perfectly. I got a little rusty (conffession clears the soul) but I held nose in and leftside pretty well.
The fact REMAINS that this BP is now about 5 months old and still original from the box. I am happy.
In Italy I gave the little HAVOC to my old (very old) model planeing friend, who is very ill and on constant OXYGEN. He did not know about these small helis and he
tood SUCH AN INTEREST in flying it that he actually recovered his good health and color. The next day when I called he had another friend in the house and they
were both trying their best to figure out directional / balance / etc..... problems with the tiny Heli. This event was a tiny miracle and I am GLAD that it happened
this way.
DAVE /( c.rules) - VIC( crash crash) - Lookyj my "editor" - Arrow - old Brit Ejay - Mike, all of ya, I will post further progress. While I was gone, the WHOLE caboodle
( 500T Gyro from JR) arrived, and now there is everything of the TOP TOP requirements to start up the REX.

Welcome back Rick! Glad to hear you had a good trip! You have a fair bit of reading/catching up to do. Nice to hear that your Pro is still flying well - seems like a lot of guys here have been having issues as of late. I think we're the lucky ones

Rick / Barrick,
Welcome back my friend...Glad to hear your friends are doing well with the HAVOC and seeming to help them health wise..
We all need to keep active, regardless of age. Happy your back, and DO give us an update on your progress, when you can.
Happy Returns,
Dave / Choppersrule
PS.... How's the wheather over there (Italy)?

Choppersrule Here:
I see that there are some issues/debates going on with the Blade Series and the TREX Series.
That’s what the Forum is designed for, INPUT. I’ve learned sooo, much on the fourm, thanks to
many on this thread and a host of others.
One thing to keep in mind fellas, is that we don’t have to justify or defend, what we purchase or
why we purchase any heli or upgrade. It’s a personal matter and/or preference. Also, it’s always a
learning curve, regardless of any of our decisions, when moving to a bigger/better heli..
If you’re a complete noobie and never have flown a heli before, it doesn’t matter what heli you
get. You will crash it in 30 seconds, probably less..(Of course there’s RADD’s)
Blade:
I’ll keep my Blades for now, I love the fact that I can fly it indoors, and too, love to tinker and
rebuild. That’s my nature, however it’s not for everyone. Yes, the parts do fail and wear out, but
they’re Plastic, unless you’ve upgrade to CNC stuff. I think that’s where I’ve gone wrong over
time, to much Bling, I’m back to stock with the CP, except, CNC swashplate and dual tail
motors (works great for my type of flying), Both motors, main and tail, due fail and wear out quickly, hmmm,
only 10 bucks.
Trex:
“JUST THE FACTS JACK“, from the movie Stripes, Bill Murray.. Great Movie.
Not getting technical at all... It’s a dream compared to the Blade Series. If you can fly the
Blades, the Trex is a marvel in comparison.
Someone mentioned that it’s to powerfull and to fast.. Powerfull Yes. Fast Yes, however, keep in
mind that YOU control the heli... I don’t fly it Fast forward, backward or any direction, control is
100% better than a Blade. .(I’m the old guy) The Gyro is not a crutch, it’s needed in 3D flight.
All of our USAF aircrafts have them.
Suggestion:
My 2 cents.., make that 4 cents with inflation. . If you’re at a point with the Blade Series and can hover, fast forward and all that
good stuff and feel comfortable with it. Get a Trex, you won’t be sorry.

You're right...just got to put things into perspective...go from there. When you're dealing with a problem that's intermittent or looks just like 50 other problems and you can't nail it down...you tend to get a little pi$$y. I'm SOOOOOOOOOO glad I smoked that 3-1...just made me feel better. When the new one gets here and the problem goes away...I'll be a happy camper again. I think getting rid of the S-75 servos may have also been a real GOOD deal. Had one laying around and I put itin the Corsair for rudder (I put the rudder control in tonight)...the S-75 took a dump. There's not much pressure on a static rudder...and it broke. I think the HS-55's will work out much better.

And a good morning to all.........or for some of you "easties" good afternoon! Been having alot of issues with the CNC head on the CP. Tail bob at higher speeds/more collective is insane. Just figured out this morning I have a bent main shaft........ its brand new! I bought a prebent one I guess and maybe if I crash just right it will be perfectly straight. Sadly, that means I am down to just one "good shaft" so will have to order a few more. Trying to get these straight is such a pain and with CNC weight factored in, perfection is the bare minimum.
This tail bob issue has been going on for a long time now and after sanding and scotchbriting the spindles and lighty sanding the inside of the blade bearing races, I still am fighting it. The o rings are rock solid and holding up well but I just don't seem to be finding the cause. I am going to the LHS today ( just got a check from one of the jobs) and darn the heli gods...they put my bank within 3 blocks of the hobby shop! Also need some TREX parts, the maiden hover didn't go so well.
WB Barrick, we missed ya old buddy! Choppers, Ty for the kudos on starting the thread. Like I have said time and again, this took on a life of its own and has grown to be one of the miost viewed threads on this forum. Atzanik, nice vid ya took and it still amazes me that you are on a stock battery still. I am wondering if you will ever go to lipo....... Your fly times will be insane and power difference is pretty amazing. I still have 2 stock batterys and enough parts to build a second CP minus the 4 in 1. I might just have to buy a frame today too and get a second CP going. going back to a stock version may prove interesting. Possibly upgrade to a bell hiller head tho. crash............... what is your arrival estimate on the 3 in 1? I got my fingers and toes crossed for you on this one. Nice fitting end for a suspect electronic part. It got the electric chair for letting you down! Sorta like the old saying " We gonna give you a nice fair trial followed by a decent hanging"...........heh Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.............Blade CP!!!!

Arrow,
I suffered from the tail bob when the mH head went flying....ironed it down to my pet peeve...too much friction in the head linkages....particularly the short pitch control links.
Those links go through the greatest angular swing and they're still giving me fits.......thinks: wonder if increasing the flybar paddle areas would help....don't know how but just an idea.
Barrick...welcome back to the Darkside....didja take photos....? Some neat hydrofoils out there.

TAIL BOBS:
Sometimes you will get the "tail bobs" if you have to many head dampening shims on the spindle, between the rotor hub and the blade grip.
With the added rigidity, the head will lack dampening of the feather shaft/spindle, resulting in tail bobbing.

Not a single dampening shim on my head, its still nice and tight. I just bought 4 new bearings for the blade grips to replace both sets. this CNC head only has 2 bearings per grip so I am hoping I just have inferior bearings in those grips, If not I just bought 2 extra MH Stainless Steel shafts at the LHS, will go back to a stock head and see if plastic is the wave of the future........heh
