Default Stretch Align 550 for Bell 206

Greetings - I am starting a project that involves stretching an Align TR550 to a 600 size so that I may bolt it inside a Bell 206 fiberglass body. She will be a simple flyer - NO 3D. I bought this TR550 used and love the two cyclic pitch arms from the swash plate to the blade grips and realized the previous owner had done a flybarless conversion and kept the stock main head and just removed the flybar and associated parts. Is this safe to fly like this?? Am I better off replacing the head with a TR600 head and swap the blade grips over? This is somewhat of a brick wall for me and I appreciate any advice or suggestions.
