RE: Pink or Blue Foam?
For me the pink foam challenges my confidence and pride in the field. It is sold through HomeDepot.
I use the BlueCor brand. It's sold through Lowes, but I had to find a contractor in the Denver to broker a pack to me for $40.
In my opinion, the expert in this type of foam construction is at
http:www.foamfly.com
There is a Fan-fold foam guide (6 chapters) that covers in detail density pros/cons of each type of foam, glue, covering, wing building, etc.
Foamfly also has a recipe for baking your wings in a houslhold oven so that you can make your own single thickness rigid airfoils out of the bluecor.
Good luck.
I bought the xbow, the wing jig and the flying wing plans from Foamfly. Nothing airborn yet, but that is mostly a time/focus issue for me.
