Default Microjet brushless?

Hi all, I have 2 microjets, one stock I fly now to get the hang of(sweeet!) and the other painted up I will be hopping up. I want much better performance(speed), but do not want to sacrifice run times. Stock setup now using gws receiver and servos with 8 cell 600ae battery packs, and p.o.s. speed control from aerocruiser. Aside from battery the esc is heaviest part of plane. I wanted to get mega 16 15 3 or 4t with a light speed control. Depending on esc, will I be able to use same batteries? Which motor would best suit my needs? Will flight time be any less? Will I also be able to use current 5/5 apc props? Money is semi issue and appreciate any suggestions or cheaper alternatives that would also give huge speed increase without losing to much in run time. Thanks to all in advance.

Default RE: Microjet brushless?

I only have one MJ and I set it up with a Razor 300 running on 3S etech 1200 lipos turning a 4 x 2.5 prop. If you are going with a Mega the 3T is probably too hot and you will not have much of a run time with the 600ae packs. My vote would be for high output lipos.
