Default Telink Big Bubble (NESail)

Has anyone flown this Big Bubble from Telink?

[link]http://www.nesail.com/detail.php?productID=3029[/link]

I'm interested in performance info and motor set-ups. NESail suggests the PJS 550 but Telink suggests the PJS 1000. If Sal from NESail is listening, which do you use and what's your take on this plane as a outdoor 3/d-stunter and a plane for just buzzing around? All input welcomed. Would like to have another plane this fall and this one has caught my eye.

I was wondering the same thing. If what Sal says is true it sounds like it should be pretty good outside. I was thinking of putting the Hacker A20-20L w/ Hacker X-20 ESC in it. Does anybody have any experience with this plane and/or the motor....................anbody?

Hey,
i haven't flown the bubble, but all foamies fly nicely... i mean.. it's foam.
from nsp, i've flown the tuff - e, the bead 3d, the microbat, and the extra.

if your interested in getting a foamy from nesail, i think that the tuff-e is a much better choice especially if you are just gonna buzz around... taking it everywhere to fly anywhere... it is much more durable, it hovers great since it mocks the flat plate design...

i have a hacker 20L w/ the x20 esc, using 3cell 1050 batteries, and my tuff -e absolutley hauls. it will hover at a litlte over half throttle iwth a 10x4.7 prop.

the best foamy there is the microbat. It has huuuuuge wings and it just soars and glides through the air. my fav foamie. check out the video on nesails site.
the bead is super easy to put together, hard to mess it up while building. super light and huge control throws.

the extra is super tipsy, very difficult to get used to until you do.

still.. the tuffe rocks.

hacker a20l is an excellent choice for thoes foamies.

good luck!

Great outdoor flier. Flies slow nicely. However, any speed at all resulted in rudder flutter. Mine had a PJS 550R and it was enough to hover with.

Build instructions are horrible. Eventually scrapped the instructions and built it my way. Robart wannabe hinges were scrapped. They were too stiff to be useable.

All in all, look elsewhere. For the money (it ain't cheap), there are better planes at less cost.

Do a search on the Telink Music Bubble and Big Bubble and you'll find additional comments.

Does it come with landing gear?

Yes, it comes with a wire landing gear that may be a bit too narrow in design.

Nick,

I've just trashed my foamie so I'm looking for a replacement. The EPP stuff looks like a good idea. I have an AXI 2212/34 waiting for something. I'm looking to improve my 3D. Flying outdoors exclusively. Which would be better? The Extra Tuffe or the Microbat.

Thanks,
Wade
