Help with PC-9 Maiden Flight
Hi Guys,
I just finished my ultrafly PC-9 and tried the maiden flight unsuccesfully. At hand toss it went directly to the ground with little to no glide. Weight is 19.6oz CG is right on the 50mm mark. Using the stock 400 motor with 3s LiPo.
I think my hand toss was kind of wimpy and the plane just didnt take off. I've read of this problem in this forums... I'm thinking it's because the high pitched prop stalls at low speeds and needs a good toss...
Any suggestions? This is my first low wing plane and i feel clumsy grabbing it from either behind or fwd of the wing.. you can't grab it at the cg like a high wing plane.
I just broke the prop on the first toss, don't want the 2nd flight to go worse. Any help is appreciated!
Thanks

RE: Help with PC-9 Maiden Flight
try using a slingshot launcher. they are really good 4 launching ducted fans an should work 4 u. just put a small hook in the belly. just press the peddel launch it and then throttle up. if u don't want to do this, just get someone with a good arm
