Foamies are easy to build, quite durable and easily repaired. For the beginner, these are desirable characteristics given the greater possibility of damage due to inexperience. You do tend to sacrifice the realism in the aircraft details however. But hey, from 100 feet away, who can tell?

haha that doesnt matter but you can also make parts from foam not all the stuff i was thinking on the wings.. and elevator and rudder ahs anyone tutorial for a hot whire ?

Also, If you like scale airplanes, put "Fiddler's Green" in your browser. They have plans to fold planes and other things up from paper, and the airplanes can be blown up to the right size and made out of foam instead of paper.
