A problem has surfaced with my Internet Explorer here. When I click on a link in a post, or a photo in a post to expand it; I am now getting a blank box that pops up rather than the larger photo or the link opening. Anybody have a clue how to fix this? (No pop up blockers installed...yet)

try clearing your cache. shut down your browser and reboot. see if it still happens.

Thanks for the idea.

I have tried clearing the cache, deleting cookies, checking for spyware, updated java & microsoft service packs...but the problem is still there.

I am starting to think that an explorer or Java file is corrupted, but doesn't get overwritten because it shows as the correct version.

any firewalls on that might be blocking the image thinking it is an ad or something?

O.K., I got it straightened out. Had to repair some corrupted files.
