Default Charging new batteries

A dumb question I know, but I have to ask. They say there's no silly question. Only how silly you'll feel when you say "I should have asked".

When formation charging my new batteries, the charger stopped before the expected completion (due to wrong timer setting). Can I just start up the charger and continue or do I have to start all over again?

In other words, must formation charging be uninterrupted?

Thanks.

That is exactly what I do with my Einstein charger.
If I am charging a 1800maH pack, I charge it at 140ma for 16 hours. The charger shuts off and I start it again for another 16 hours. Some time I will interupt the charge after 6 hours and then restart it so that I get 140ma of current for 22 hours.
