Every time I visit rcuniverse I get notices from my firewall (Norton Internet Security) that personal information is being requested which I have flagged, such as home address, and credit card number. It says that this is from rcuniverse or deepmetrix.com. When I tell it to block the information I am not able to post the message I am writing to the thread and I get an error message. This does not happen every time, but there is one thread that I can not reply to unless I am willing to allow this information to be transmitted. I just wanted to know if this is normal?

there is no way to request home address or credit card information. The error is in fact an error on the part of the firewall software.
The deepmetrix.com is our independent 3rd party reporting statistics website that merely gathers information on how many times you visit the site, how many pages viewed, screen size, whether javascript is on or off and a few other browser specific tidbits of info. It is all anonymous (meaning we don't know if the information applies to you or the other 100,000+ visitors). There is no code to try and do the impossible which would be to gather your home address or cc info. A website can only read info from a cookie that it set itself. Therefore it cannot gain info that it does not already know. That is built into IE and netscape
