From my home computer, the reply functions for PMs simply stare at me - none of the buttons do anything. When I try to reply to a thread, or post a new thread, I get a screen that tells me my browser settings are wrong. I've changed all java-script and cookie settings I can find in IE 6.0 (I've manually accepted all cookies, including cookies specifically from RCU), turned my Norton firewall off, re-booted, stood on my head, etc. I don't have this problem with any other web pages.
I've removed and re-installed IE from my WinXP disc.
What's next?

go to tools menu and do a windows update to ensure you have latest version of IE. if that does not fix it download netscape from netscape.com. try it with that. if it works we know it is an IE settings issue rather than firewall issue. If it does not work in netscape we can be fairly sure it is not browser related and look for your problem.

When I try to run windows update, IE sits there and loads (forever) the page that's trying to determine my current settings. Hence, I'm not quite sure IE is all there to begin with.
I tried Netscape 4.0, which worked. Then I came back to IE and it worked... the only difference is that I disabled Norton Personal Firewall from the icon bar inststead of through Norton's control panel - turns out that the security controls are slightly different between the two methods of disabling Norton's firewall.
Thanks - I think I'm good now.
