Hi,
Are you referring to Forums mysteriously being added to your "My Forums" selections?? If so, I noticed the same thing! Several days ago the "AMA Discussions" forum was added to my My Forums selection, and today the "IMAC" forum was added! Strange! I wonder what's going on??
John

I did it...it was me.
When I add a new forum I automatically add it to users MyForums list if the main parent category exists in their myforum selection. So if you had anything under Airplanes then you would have got the new forum which now exists under the AMA. The ama forum shows because it must to show the child forum which was created in the master AMA forum.
I have to do this for all new forums otherwise users will never know what new forums are created. The adding criteria is whether you have the main topic or not. In this case car members who don't subscribe to anything under planes did not get this new forum added. Airplane guys never got the new LST Monster truck forum added to their list.
It is up to each member to remove new forums from their list when added. We don't do it often so it should not be "too" much of a pain if you don't want the new forums we add. But there will be times we know where you do want them and won't know about them so this is our fallback.

One thing I have been wondering is why do all my forums have 50% or more car and truck threads when I porposely omited them from my forums list. I Do not apprectiate having to look at all these car and truck threads when my only intrest is airplanes.

Click Settings top right.
Then set your MyForums on that page and choose the forums you want.
Next click the myforums icon. Then click new posts and it will only show you the posts from your chosen forums. RCU is the only forum with this feature and for just the reason you wrote above. It solves that issue

I suggest that in the future you put out a general announcement that a new forum has been created and that will avoid all confusion. The reason that I acted to post my question was that a few weeks ago I saw some message about personal data being altered for a member and I feared that this might be a larger problem.

I've done as you said but still see better than 50% car and truck forums on my forums page

Make sure you only check off the forums you want on the settings page. carefully check which checkboxes are marked off.
then hit the MyForums icon to show only the forums you want
