Have been trying for two days to add images to my posts with no success? Until two days ago, never had a problem doing this on RCUniverse forums? After I use the four image browse window to select an image file which works and then hit OK, I get an error message that says " there was an error saving file to disk"? I have also tried this function on the image test site below and get the same error message?????? Also tried using the edit function and get same error message????? I ran Scan Disk on my computer to correct any errors in my system to no avail??? Using Netscape browser.

Marc: Netscape 7.01 which has worked fine to upload images to RCUniverse forum for last several years???? Also tried a different image file thinking something wrong with the particular image I had tried many times without success but again, same problem with different JPEG image???? Even took the first image and reduced it from 150K to 94K thinking maybe there was a new limit on size but still no good.

Could one of my browser settings be the culprit?[sm=confused.gif][sm=confused.gif]

PS: why would the computer be trying to save the image file to disc?

I also never had any problems uploading images until yesterday. Now when I use edit to add more images they are not posted. I receive the successful upload screen however my images are not posted. There must be a problem other than my computer? I don't know much about computers and this has me worried.

I just tested on IE and netscape no problems. Please try again and if no luck go to the product guide or university then scroll to the bottom of the page. Tell me what server you are on: RCU1, RCU2, RCU3

But anyhow, did what your message said to do and can not find RCU 1, 2 or 3 at bottom of either page???? Also, went to my other browser, IE , and was successful in uploading an image to RCU, yesterday. However, Netscaope 7.01 is still giving me the error message this AM and still won't allow uploading of images to RCU???? I want Netscape to work because tthis is my preferred browser?

Don't even have IE anymore. Maybe I'll try Netcaptor, or Firefox....

Has something changed here? What browser you using Marc?

I've uploaded a kabillion images to RCU over the last couple of years. but spradically, am having problems uploading images since your last RCU update.

I'm a Mac user, and have a new PowerBook with the latest version of OS X, and all the software updates. I'm using a DSL connection, which works great in every other respect. I've tried to upload images using the latest versions of Explorer, Safari (Mac native browser) and Netscape/Mozilla.

Not all of these browsers report a "There was an error saving the file to disk." problem, but all of them fail to upload the images. This is, of course, with Java and Javascript, as well as cookies, enabled. Nothing has changed on my end, so I know it's an RCU problem. Same problem persists when trying to add an image in "Edit" mode. Just a few minutes ago, I answered a post and included two photos. But when I went to answer another post, and add an image, it would not upload. (same type of JPEG)

Hope you can get this one figured out, especially since all of us aren't having the problem.

adding pics on edit is a bug which will be fixed in the next day or so.

the netscape and mac upload image I am now researching to see if the fix is known at this time.

I've confirmed that I can now upload images in either the "original post" mode, or the "edit" mode, using (on a Mac) either the latest version of Explorer, or Netscape/Mozilla. For some reason I can't upload them in the Mac-native browser, "Safari". This comes after a recent update to "Safari", which occured at the same time as your RCU update, so that makes pinning down the error a little tricky.

Anyway, I can use Explorer or Netscape/Mozilla until we figure it out.
