I visit RCU less and less because when I do something else is changed and this site becomes more cumbersome to use
My latest visit had me once again filling out my profile and preferences, seems like 4, 5,or more times already in the last couple years
So I choose my interests and submit the change, then when I click my forums it doesn't take me to what I CHECKED AT ALL!
RCU is a PITA to use and I wish that you would quit fussing with it in the guise of " makeing it better "

My Feedback: (3)
Yah, it was a few weeks ago they did that change, and I didn't think anything worked, either. And I was griping, because none of my original choices were just saved. Software guys, go figure.
But, I evidently use the site more often than you, and I was quickly accustomed to it. Not that I see a lot of difference, but it seems to make the site guy happy. And the other people who use the site contribute a lot of information and humor. I just spent 10 minutes or so reading the advice they gave one guy about taking a laptop on a 10-year anniversary cruise.
If you use the site a lot, it's good. If you're here twice a year, probably no need to register.
Best wishes,
Dave Olson

As previously mentioned I used to visit RCU often and partisapated in several discussions 3 to 4 years ago and then they started changing things and deleteing previous posts, seems to me there have been several changes in the last few years and each time I have had to resubmit information. I know that I'm being a cry baby and my 2 cents isn't worth a hill of beans, I Just had a need to vent!
Thank's anyway,

roger,
all changes we make are for improvements and not just for the sake of it.. this last change was minor but required an entire rewrite of some code and your old settings for myforums could not transfer which is why it was necessary to select forums again. all the code works 100% and like anything new things are always more difficult when things change a bit
we had not changed anything in the last year in the forums. there were needed features that were requested by many members and this upgrade provided them. search in thread. fixed search functionality. archive pm's, search pm's. pm notifications, notifications, and much more

I'm sure some will agree and others will disagree with you. my feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive. we had a week of bugs that were all worked out one at a time as planned and things work well now. try going to another forum that has NO myforums functionality and then rather then spend 5 minutes choosing your forums ONCE you would instead have to go through 100's of posts everyday that you have no interest in. It is a small price to pay for the convenience of this powerful functionality.
your first post stated that you checked your forums off and it did not work. we have 1000's who have used this with no problems. I've tested it in 5 browswers and separate accounts and all worked fine. If yours is not working then either you are not pressing the correct submit button on the page or you have an unsupported browser.

OK you win!
My Forums work , perhaps it was a problem with my win 98
Although I selected/submitted my choices several times, it actually did not work until I left RCU and then went back later
