Hello Mark. I screen my computer for all incoming cookies, I like to decide whether a company is going to put a file on my computer or not. But anyways, recently I have been seeing a cookie come in from utopia.rcuniverse.com. Could you please tell me the function of this cookie? I dont see it when I sign on, it just randomly appears sometimes as I cruise through the boards.

our ads are served off the old rcu servers which were renamed from "www" to "utopia" hence the utopia.rcuniverse.com and associated cookie. the cookie simply checks to see if you have seen an ad here on the site before so it does not show it to you again too quickly. this is only for certain parts of the site that have this call. For instance I set our toolbar ad that tells you how to get info or download our toolbar (http://www.rcuniverse.com/toolbar) to not show you the ad again for at least 5 minutes after your last view. This way you get more variety as you browse.
