Every time I try to upload an avatar image, I get the message "There was an error saving the file". It doesn't say it's too big, or anything like that. I've tried many different ones, all within the pixel and file size restrictions. I've tried less than 85 x 85 and less than 75 x 75 pixels, same result. (which is the current limit?) I've tried both GIF and jpg. I've had files as small as 2.5 Kb.
BTW, I'm working with the files in Paint Shop Pro, and I'm pretty confident that I know what I'm doing with the file, anyway. Are there other limitations that haven't been stated?
TIA,
Steve

I shoulda said that I'm using Netscape 7.0 . I didn't think of it until later.
In the settings page, under the avatar section, there isn't a choice for the "standard" avatar images. I thought that maybe those weren't available anymore. It does look a little odd, though. What I see is the "upload image" radio button with a small black dot in it. Below that, a fully blacked in button with NO text next to it. Below that is the empty "don't show avatar" button. The top and bottom radio buttons work, but the blacked out one in the middle stays that way.
Thanks,
Steve

Yes. I disabled the stock avatar so it is greyed out. you can upload your custom avatar only now. once uploaded you must click ok at the bottom of the settings page for it to take effect. if netscape is giving you fits try the newer 7.2 version or IE for the upload

I hate feeling like such a newb, but I must ask. I cannot find the link to upload my avatar. I got into the settings and their is only a greyed out circle with no writing and an option to not show my avatar, which is selected. I hate to be a pest, but can someone help.
Thanks in advance.
