The last few days while trying to get on RCU, it's been loading very slowly and then when it's almost loaded I get a security warning window asking me if I want to install and run macromedia flash player. What is up with this window? I've never had this happen before, should I install it ? or just keep hitting the no button? Is this just for RCU? because the only time this window appears is when I'm trying to access RCU

Yes. go ahead and install the updated player. All sites these days use flash and some new flash content may require a player that is newer then the one your browser has installed. Flash is pretty much a standard

I've only been getting that window when I go to the GS forum. It is very annoying to say the least. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with this particular install, but I've learned from previous experience to NOT download and install every item that pops up. I have just recently formatted my hard drive so I could start over with a clean machine due to it becoming so bogged down and screwed up from downloading. Probably had a worm from who knows what. At any rate, my PC works like new again, so I stay away from anything that I really don't need.

The flash player is ok to install. Most every browser has it installed with the latest version as it is. Flash is used on most fortune 500 sites and almost all media sites. Disney, ABC, MTV, NBC, Yahoo, Amazon and 10's of thousands more. Flash player is not a d/l you need to worry about installing. If it prompts you it means that your currently installed player is older (most likely version 6) and the file trying to play is version 7 and has a feature that requires that version. Each version has a few different classes so if it a flash file uses just one small new feature it might request the new player to support it. This does not happen often as the player versions don't upgrade very often.
