Default Browser Hanging

for the last couple of months Ive been having my browser freeze up everytime I change pages here at rcu. But only here. The click the next page then it loads the text then it will hange my browser for like the next 20 -30 second like something else is loading. During thsi time I cant scroll or anything. The whole browser is locked up.. It think it must be the java script or something in the ads.

Im using IE6 and XP . Any clues? Its really making the site unusable.

Are you on broadband or dial up?

I just made a few changes just now. LMK if they helped at all. If not I have something else I can try.

hmmm. try clearing out your cache completely then restart all browsers. I wonder if you have some old javascript files loaded.

I have not heard of this behaviour from others thus far. I'm also on xp and ie6 and cannot duplicate.

By "forever" do you mean a few seconds or 30 seconds?

No I use T-Moblie, Sprint told us one time that there aircard has a built in timeout feature so we went with Serria 750 from T-Mobile even tho we use Sprint phones. We had been using our Sprint phones but Sprint changed thier data plans so T-Mobile is unlimited for 29.95 a month. Doesn't get the speed you are claiming tho. My wife and I both have computers and 2 aircards, we live in a RV and travel.

Also Dvrcrash there is a ping command which will allow you to see the timeouts but I can't remember exactly what it is but you go to the command prompt and type it in, something like this,,,
ping -t yahoo.com also you can do a search called " Sprint timouts " and you will get a lot of info on the subject which is how I found out.

If both browsers do it then it may be a network issue.
