Advertising Policy
What is current advertising policy for RCU forum members/readers? Has been several instances in which principal of a commercial model firm will use a forum to make an announcement of a new product release. The product is not placed by a simple reference from an inquierer, but the first posting by the principal is the come-on for the product.
"For those who have been awaiting a _____"
"We are now shipping______"
"The _________ per your request is being made available"
The above headlines, instead of being a simple forum question discussion point, have instead made RCU into a cheap place to advertise. I do not see them meeting the older RCU service agreement and as such ought to be pulled off line, but are these now OK? It was my understanding that there were areas or arenas within RCU for a manufacturer or a cottage industry to get into print. Has that changed? For I would also like to advertise a few new items using the same language.
