I see a black box on top and below the forums on my forums. Each box covers about half the page. You dont see it? The voices in my head say you're pulling my leg. <g>

Same here I see them also.

I'm getting them too. Thought it might be browser dependent, but the same happens on Mozilla and IE.

Ok, look at the full forum view and then the my forum view. Try adding some forums and you will see the boxes get smaller. My guess is that it is a static place holder space for the "my forums" selections. The more forums you have the less black space you will see.
