this is very odd. we have no other reports of errors like this and we have not changed any code in months on our thread view pages here. I wonder if some other service or software on your system is blocking certain code which makes javascript think a particular object does not exist.
you could go into your options and turn off javascript warnings just so you don't have to deal with the popup which would solve the annoyance factor for now

ive logged in on another machine using xp with explorer vertion#6 not 7 as is with my machine it has the same sygate fire walland there is no error with this machine. Ive about run out of things to try other than reinstalling my OS and that ide like to avoid if posable. I did reinstall explorer vertion 7 and reset all the settings as well as checked and unchecked every java active x thing i could find I know this started when i was ussing vertion 6 so the problem followed me. I had to make explorer forget the logins and passwords to gain acces to my e-mail and this started. Still stumped Iff I find it ill be sure and get back to you on it. If you have any ideas let me know. Thank you

I too have been getting java script errors every time I go to a forum page.
I copied the error to a word file but I don't see a way to post it.
This error is from refreshing THIS page:
says: description object expected
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_47.../anchor/tm.htm
Line 3234
see more details? OK CANCEL
You must click on OK or CANCEL to make the error box go away.

I have no firewall software, just NAT DSL router firewall and MICROSOFT XP build in internet firewall.
I tried turning off SUN java and just use microsoft java and that did not stop the error.
I did clear cookies and history too, didn't work there either.

I you gave me an idea however it didnt help
I installed Java Runtime Vendor: Sun Microsystems Inc. Java Runtime Version 1.5.0_09
I wish it had but no joy this has been a long time thing I did download Firefox
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/ and that worked fine no errors so it is definetly within explorer.

On IE6 you might try this
got to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced
then check off disable script debugging checkbox

Yes it goes away when I take the check off from "disable script debugging (Internet Explorer)"
Thanks.
That makes the error go away.
